Hello,

There is a reason why you aren't doing what you know you should be doing or, worse, NEED to be doing. There is also a reason why a Google search of 'procrastination' creates 3,820,000 search results.

"Psychologists often cite procrastination as a mechanism for coping with the anxiety associated with starting or completing any task or decision ... For an individual, procrastination may result in stress, a sense of guilt, the loss of personal productivity, the creation of crisis and disapproval from others for not fulfilling one's responsibilities or commitments."

Take a moment and complete the following exercise.
1. Take a scrap of paper and draw a line down the middle and then a line across the middle. You should have 4 equal squares.

2. Label each square with the following:
Home, Ofiice, Time and Spirit.
3. Jot down 1 activity that you have been procrastinating doing in each of the four squares.

Examples might include:
Home - organize my closet
Office - clean up my email 'Inbox'
Time - meet up for dinner with my best friend
Spirit - grab a coffee and take a walk in the ravine
4. Under the activity in each quadrant, write down the reason(s) WHY you haven't done it yet.

5. After you have written out your reason(s), write down when/how you plan to complete the activity.

The kAos Group team understands the stress that procrastination causes in your life.  We have exceptional methods for getting started and assisting you, each step of the way, on your path to success.

Brain How Do I Begin?

Pick one

No, this is not a new lottery but it certainly is a way in which you can create a winning situation.

Let's assume that you did the four quadrant exercise outlined above. Let's also assume that you are more often fatigued by the things you are NOT achieving as opposed to being overjoyed by all the things you ARE achieving.

If the above statements are 'True' then please read on.

There is only one way to begin and that, my friend, is by talking about the situation. Your procrastination is happening for a reason and you are more than likely incredibly successful in other areas of your life. However, if procrastination about specifics is causing you to feel unproductive and unhappy then let's fix it.

Having the conversation allows you to verbalize your desires and identify why you are avoiding a specific task. Often the avoidance comes from not really knowing how to begin, not being able to visualize how the processs is going to occur or not believing that the project can be completed.

We experience these challenges through our clients' lives everyday and we are proud to celebrate their relief and success every day.

Brain Next Steps?

Memory Recall

Memory recall is the ability to retrieve information or events from the past. We employ memory recall when reminiscing about a vacation or a wonderful celebration. kAos clients use memory recall to reinforce their confidence and revisit their success. Once you and a kAos Group expert have completed your first task you will be able to celebrate your success too.

Yes, you will be able remember the angst and stress that you originally experienced while comfortably living in your newly-created organized environment.

The act of memory recall will be your reference tool for the future. As life hands you new stressors, you will be able to actively plan for success because you will have experienced both sides. You will use your memory recall to visualize where you were and where you are now.

Through a quick exercise, you will review the way in which you need to work and how best to function with the new challenges placed before you.

Like a Picasso without the Price Tag

kAos Group helps individuals organize in many ways. We have recently experienced many of our clients asking for assistance with updating their resumes. So we turned to one of our experts and here is what she had to say.

"Your resume is like art. It should present a clear picture of your personality and the value you have to offer.  The reader should be attracted to specific points of interest and strength.  You know it's a masterpiece if they come away from the document wanting to learn more about you.

If you need or think you may need your resume updated, contact us.   We'll give you some pointers on the two most effective ways to present your resume and let you know how you can create both presentations for an incredible price.

If you would like more information on getting your resume updated email our office info@kaosgroup.com .
