I need to tell you something that I’ve known about myself
for quite some time but have only recently started to admit.
I’m an organized personality type – which I know you know -but
the secret part is that I am also a lover of ‘get-up-and-go’.
At times, it’s to the point of seeming messy or in
disarray.
There are many days where, if you were to walk into my home
or office, you would be stunned that I am an organizer by
profession. This is because the media makes us out to be
‘Martha Stewart-like’ (no offence Martha – but you live a
pretty pristine lifestyle for my taste). I generally juggle
several things at a time, plus two kids (who are too cute I
might add). So, the fact that it doesn’t always look ‘pretty’
is okay with me because I actually have core-operational
systems where, when things need to be put away, I know where
they belong. That’s the ‘organizing’ factor that all of us at
kAos Group believe in and bring to your home or office.
My point is that I have figured out how to keep myself on
track, achieve my goals, and not lose my marbles in my own
kAos. However, it is a work in progress. And you wonder where
the company name comes from? If you knew me you would know
that I can juggle a lot, achieve a lot, but I am also the girl
who writes everything down on the To-Do list and schedules it
in, in order to accomplish what I do.
You may laugh but I actually think about my errands and
systematically plan how I’m going to achieve them. I write
down everything that I need to do, I time myself at the
grocery store. I look at the clock – a lot. I want to own my
time and my accomplishments and the way for me to do that is
to embrace the truth about how I work, plan it, schedule it
and, happily check it off when it’s done.
What are you going to embrace about yourself this month?
