June/July 2006
Deanne
Hello,

Welcome to the June/July edition of the Organized Lifestyle Magazine (OLM)

We are working towards making each month's edition a little easier for you to get what you need in the easiest format. Our readers love the content however, there is a lot of it.

To easily refer back to any edition of the OLM you can create a folder in your email InBox called Kaos Group or Organized and then just drop each edition that you receive into that folder. It will be there for you to refer to at any time - easily and effortlessly.

This edition is about your security - financially and on the web, moving and space planning, and a special contribution from Nada a fellow organizer and camping expert!

The Time Management Seminar is happening on July 11th, 2006. See below for more details and how this seminar will be your first step to taming the time beast!

Feel free to forward this email by using the link at the bottom of the page.

Master the Move
* HOME *

If you are thinking of moving or have a child going off to university, these sites are for you.Grab a tea or a nice cool beverage and get prepared for your best move ever.

These links will give you information on how to pack, budgeting tips, checklists and what you'll need from start to finish. However, if the idea of moving is overwhelming or you don't have the time to prep, pack, and unpack at the other end give us a call. Kaos Group offers the customized services you need to make your transition an easy one.
info@kaosgroup.com or 416.347.9002

Start by creating a moving binder. This binder will include all the details pertaining to your move. Check lists of who to contact regarding your address change, contact names, garage sale planning and dates, packers, movers, where to buy packing supplies, a place for all the receipts, and all the other details.

I'm confident that you will find lots of information from these links to help you along but if you have any specific questions regarding your move, downsizing, moving a parent, or moving a child to University feel free to call us.

Make Money on Your Move

Time is Money, Right?

Are your financial files organized? Are you able to tell me what your ROI is in less than 20 seconds? Do you know what you spent on utilities last year? Do you have easy access to your daily household or office paperwork? If your answer is no to any of those questions then Kaos Group should be organizing your paperwork. With the Office Basics we can have your household finances, investments utilities, mortgages, rentals, tax information, and all the other paper work that you need to keep and refer to – organized and easily accessible.

Then you can start to consider these questions:
Do you make money and spend it? Do you know where you spend it? Do you have your RESP's and RRSP's? Do you need some? Do you know what kind of return on investment your money is making? Do you have an up to date will?

If you couldn’t answer those questions with an absolute YES then I recommend we get your finances in order. Simple tracking systems will allow you to evaluate exactly where your money is being spent. Once your finances are in order I highly recommend you speak to a financial advisor. Here are a few experts from the field whom I recommend:

Mary Di Salvo A financial advisor with 27 years in the industry, focused on creating financial well being for her clients. Making it Simple
Deanne's Tips

Here are my tips for ‘making it simple’

  • Use your day planner – every day – track time spent on projects
  • Review your day – at the beginning and the end
  • Have a to-do list for each day – otherwise known as daily goal setting
  • Stay on top of your finances and if you can’t hire someone to help you
  • Figure out what part of your business makes you the craziest (not in a good way) and start the plan for fixing it. Does that mean hiring someone in house? What about a Virtual Assistant or a writer to develop your business templates?
  • Evaluate number 1 and take this quiz to see if you are overscheduled http://stress.about.com/od/selfknowledgeselftests/a/ overscheduled.htm
  • Establish your business goals – if you don’t have them make them – if your not sure where to start call a business planner.

My recommendation for a business planner would be Nick and Judi Huges from Your Planning Partners yourplanningpartners@sympatico.ca

Keep your time well managed, enjoy life, and watch your business grow.
