It has been said that moving can be traumatic and I would have to agree since the trauma is only three weeks old!
The new digs are "awesome" as my son would say, but the time leading up to the big day was pretty challenging, especially for me, because I like things organized.
The reality is, after prepping many clients to move, it isn't all that fun. However, the end result is great.
Here are some tips to help alleviate some of the pain of moving.
1) Plan ahead
2) Prep your supplies
3) create a schedule of what you need to do as far in advance as possible
4) Don't leave things to the last minute
5) Embrace the coming change ('cause fighting it is futile)
6) Solicit the help of friends and family
7) Start clearing the clutter early on
8) Donate the things you don't want and don't need
9) Breathe deeply and gets lot's of sleep (hmmm - maybe that is just an extra reminder for me!)
10) Feed everyone who helps you really, really well
By the way - thanks again to everyone who helped me and the T's. We are blessed and I am grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful people.
